Disney's Wilderness Lodge & Villas

The Disney Wilderness Lodge resembles the early American West. The resort is located between the Contemporary Resort and Fort Wilderness on Bay Lake. The lobby is a log-structured eight-story high building. There are two northwest totem poles which stand 55 feet high. This building is quite impressive.

The rooms at the Wilderness Lodge  Resort range from $199.00 per night up to $1155.00  per night. There are 728 guestrooms. Most of the rooms have two queen-size beds and a bunk bed. The bathroom has a separate vanity with double sinks. The room is complete with an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, and newspaper delivery. There is a real feel of Native American motif with the colors and patterns that are used for the rooms decor.

GUEST COMMENTS

Oh my gosh!!!!!! This was the first time in Disney for me and I was VERY impressed. Staying here was the best experience

Amazing lobby (especially at Christmas). Awesome pool.

The resort is gorgeous, we love staying here. The kids love the pool and we love how close it is to the Magic Kingdom and how easy it is to get to other parks from there. We liked the light parade at night.

This resort is great for a lower priced "deluxe" resort. Although the Wilderness Lodge does not have direct access to the monorail, it does have boats as an option. These were very nice because they were never crowded and could take you to the Contemporary for the monorail or directly to the Magic Kingdom. When my family goes back, this year, we are definitely staying here again!

Really enjoyed the hotel at our stay at Disney World. Enjoyed the 2 restaurants and pool and grounds at the hotel

This will be our 8th trip to Disney. We started out with the Polynesian, then the Caribbean Beach, then Port Orleans trying to stay at as many Disney hotels as possible. Well our next trip was to The Wilderness Lodge and we've stayed there since. It's unbelievable. For some extra space the deluxe rooms are huge and well worth it. They have a bedroom with 2 double beds and a living room sitting area with a pull out couch. They also have a refrigerator and a wet bar.

We were guests at the Wilderness Lodge in November 2002. It was beautiful. We felt so relaxed and enjoyed every minute of our stay.
